It is a Balancing Act!

What is balance - Life is a balancing act — everything is in constant motion.

Balance refers to evenly distributing things in your life.

Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

Things will never go your way. Unexpected events will always show up uninvited. Your boss will add a new meeting to your busy schedule. A friend will call you last minute to cancel dinner plans. Learn to adapt to the moment rather than rigidly sticking to plans.

To me balance means that you have a handle on the various elements in your life and don’t feel that your heart or mind are being pulled too hard in any direction. More often than not, you feel calm, grounded, clear-headed, and motivated.

Maintain a schedule. One way to ensure a balanced life is to schedule your time. If you’re spending all of your time at work or most of your free time doing one activity, it’s hard to maintain balance in all areas of your life. A schedule can help you to balance your time in various areas that are important to you. Maintaining a schedule can help you accomplish goals and create balance in how you spend your time.

Relax. Daily relaxation is a healthy outlet for stress. Practicing relaxation for 30 minutes each day can help you stabilize your moods and cope with stress more effectively

Spend time with family and friends. It’s important to make time for people you care about. Even when you are busy or stressed, make time to hang out with your friends and family. Friendships can help you lower stress and increase your overall sense of well-being.

Think positively. Your thinking can shape how you perceive each day and situation. Maintain a positive approach to life and the changes that come across your path. Reduce your negative self-talk such as, "I can’t do that" or "They would never pick me" and focus on positive things about yourself or situations.

Have hobbies. Make regular time for activities that you enjoy. your life. Make time during your week to engage in your hobby so that it’s something to look forward to in your schedule.

Develop patience: Patience is a great virtue one should have in life.

Be Confident.

These are just some examples of strategies to have help you prioritize your life.…But you must make the decision to add these practices in your life.

You’re responsible for you life and experiences.
